Hi. I have any questions.

1) Is archer cav in archers limit(16)?

2) What is lancers? I understand it is cav. But there is limit on 12 melee cav.

3) Are you sure team 2 can choose weather, season and time of day? If anybody choose storm and night it will be unplayable.

4) I think choice of factions must be 1 player of 1 team, 1 and 2 player of 2 team, 2 player of 2 team. Because if team 2 choose second all factions it allows choose only contr factions. It is not honestly.

5) There is no map pool in rules. I think we need in map pool because concept "unique mountain or hill" is very different for everybody.

6) Why nomads are except? It is goods factions for command game.

Hi Stradomski, I will answer all your questions.

1) Cav Archers and Archers are different categories. You can bring with your partner a total of 14 archers per team and a total of 8 cav archers per team

2) Lancers are spear inf. I changed the english term now for better understanding.

3) Yes Team 2 can choose weather, season and time of day. You must be able to win in any condition. Train in all weather situation to be ready.

4) We had a big discussion about this with the staff. Team 1 can choose the map and place team 2 anywhere on the map wich is a very good advantage. If you also give Team 1 a counter faction they will be very advantaged. Remember that you and your partner can only choose a faction once. So you will maybe not play counter factions because you will need them later on the pool. Choose your factions wisely.

5) There is no map pool. You can choose any map on the game but one player must not start at the bottom of one big mountain or hill. If there is a disagrement on the map, call a staff member to see the map.

6) Nomads players tends to run everywhere and avoid combat. The tournaments allows draw matchs. So many Nomads players will choose to have the draw game than the defeat.

I do not agree with your opinion about nomads. For example I can choose Parthia and take only cav. It very similar as if I take nomads. I debate because I and Diablo played 3 tournaments 2 vs 2 and we fairly often
use nomads with rome or barbarians for example.

The more you take cav, the less your partner can take cav. But the issue is not that nomads has only cav. The issue is many players (maybe not you), will tend to make a draw game instead of a defeat.
You can't oblige a player to charge a pike faction, so he will draw the game and we don't want that.
We want players to fight the best they can in a fair battle. Once again, you may be a good and fair nomad players but this is not a majority.

Maybe in futurs tournaments we will discuss more about nomads, but for now we agreed with the other staff members to exclude them to have the best battles possible.

Tournament will be on Empire Edition?

Yes I think because this editon doesn't change important things on balancing, if new factions appear or new units and if they are cheated we can make rules for them.

Emperor Edition do make some balancing of units.
Inevitably the Tournament will be held on Empire Edition.
Concerning new factions, depending if there're OP or not, we will allow them.

EE is very bad. balancing the worst

I do have one question for you regarding the rules, why the limit of 6 pikes per team as that seems excessive?

EE edition seems fine given the number of team games I have played, skirmishers a very deadly now and the buff to hoplites makes them far more viable.

Melee cavalry are also not as effective as they were, which to me is a good thing.

I have tested the EE edition with other staff members and you are right. That's why the rules are even better now. 6 pikes per team is a good and balanced things because it restrain players from doing a pike box.

With more pikes, players will tend to play the pike box.
With less pikes, factions like Sparta become useless. 4 or 5 pikes only per team is not interresting to bring into battles.

So 6 pikes per team is the ideal number for a good, balanced and challenging battle.

On va attendre l'unification des version avec l'arrivée du patch 15234 . Cela laisse du temps pour trouver des solutions au problème existant dans l'organisation

PS : J'ai vu que j'étais associé à la dite organisation. Si c'était le cas, je m'en mêlerais. Je me borne à donner un coup de main pour gérer, former, voir rereformer le forum.

Ça marche Kage, un gestionnaire de plus ne nous feras pas de mal ^^

Pour les personnes désirant commencer leurs matchs avant la sortie du patch 15, donc le 16 septembre, c'est libre à eux sachant que nous avons tous des contraintes personnel de date etc.

La date de fin de la phase de pool reste dans tout les cas le 6 octobre.
